Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
