The Bikini Cocktail

Yields 10 guests

For the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

To make the Premix (produces 850ml, serving 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish

Directions

To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Put the listed items into a pot, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve. Next, take off the burner and leave to cool down entirely. Pour into a sealable bottle, seal and refrigerate it chilled, it will last for about a month.

To make Cocktail Base: Pour all the liquid ingredients in a sizeable container, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then strain best through cheesecloth, making it completely strained.

To serve: Add 85ml from the premix into a mixing glass packed with ice, and agitate lightly for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Strain into a chilled martini glass or equivalent, garnish with the cranberries and finish with a brief mist of the essential oil over the drink.
